What’s with the name?

Anyone who’s ever played any TTRPG knows that the dice have a mind of their own, and it feels like at our “table” the dice like to tell particularly dramatic stories with Nat 1s or 20s at the most interesting of times. Early on, we joked about it being feast or famine on our rolls, and the name stuck!

What game system do you use?

The base of the game is D&D 5e (standard, not 2024) with a fair bit of homebrew, included some heavily altered races more in-line with the completely homebrewed underwater campaign our Tides Mistress wrote. We even threw in a dash of Kids on Bikes!

Where/how do you play?

We use a mix of systems:

• Roll20 for character sheets and rolling (with a few using D&D Beyond’s integration)

• Discord for chat

• Talespire for large battle maps

• OBS for screen-recording

• Craig (a discord bot) for multi-line voice recording
  

What night do you play?

We typically play on Thursday as a group, though most of us are involved in more than one campaign a week. We probably won’t be posting our sessions on Thursday night. That night has enough going on 😉
